The Role
As Team Lead Operational Buying, you are responsible for managing the operational buying team and ensuring the efficient execution of the entire order and production process, from handover by the Commercial Buyer through to the finished product.
You ensure that suppliers and internal departments complete the required actions on time, enabling products to be manufactured according to schedule, specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize and allocate work within the team.
- Escalate operational bottlenecks to management.
- Hold internal stakeholders accountable for agreed deadlines and responsibilities.
- Initiate process improvements within operational purchasing and the supply chain.
- Maintain operational relationships with suppliers in China.
- Monitor compliance with agreements and production schedules.
- Escalate and resolve production and delivery issues.
- Monitor operational supplier performance.
- Support continuous improvements in collaboration with suppliers.

Our product range consists of a broad and diverse assortment of hobby, craft, and painting supplies, creative and educational toys, and games for everyone to enjoy, either individually or together with friends and family. Our products are sold B2B, directly to the retail market, and through online channels throughout Europe and beyond.

What Do You Bring?
For this position, we are looking for a new colleague with a completed degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Buying, or Business Administration.
In addition, you have several years of experience in operational purchasing, supply chain management, or international order management. You have previously worked with suppliers in China or other Asian manufacturing countries.
You are naturally a strong communicator and have experience leading, coaching, or coordinating a team.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of international buying processes.
- Knowledge of supply chain and order management processes.
- Understanding of quality, packaging, and logistics processes.
- Excellent command of both Dutch and English.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
