As a Sustainability Officer, you play an essential role in our fast-growing and dynamic organization. In addition to working on innovative sustainable projects, you handle the necessary administrative tasks with ease. Your attention to detail and structured approach ensure everything runs smoothly, helping us achieve our ambitious sustainability goals.
In this dynamic and versatile role, you and your two colleagues ensure that our products comply with international laws and regulations. We set high standards for product safety and sustainability and are continuously working on improvements. You initiate the necessary actions, monitor progress, and make adjustments as needed to achieve our objectives. You will work closely with various departments, making for a varied and challenging workday.
What will you do?
- Stay updated on the latest legal developments: You ensure our products always comply with the most recent legal requirements.
- Waste levy registration: You accurately keep track of waste levy registrations and ensure proper handling.
- Planning and organizing activities: You conduct internal audits for various certifications such as GRS, FSC, BCI, BSCI and actively contribute to the sustainability of materials.
- Providing the correct certificates and information: You ensure that all necessary certificates and information are delivered accurately and on time.
- Updating customer sustainability platforms: You keep our customers’ sustainability platforms up-to-date with the latest data and information.
- Various administrative tasks: You are not afraid of the necessary administration that comes with this role and ensure everything is correctly documented.
- Documenting and maintaining processes: You document and maintain processes in the quality manual (internal) and the partnership manuals (suppliers and laboratories).

For over 30 years, we have been a leading importer/wholesaler in creative toys for children and craft & hobby products for adults. Our range includes a wide and diverse selection of hobby, craft, and painting items, creative and educational toys, and games for everyone, for solo enjoyment or with friends and family. Our products are sold B2B, directly in the retail market, and through online channels across Europe and beyond.
In recent years, we have grown rapidly and have a motivated, professional, and collegial team that engages daily with our products and range. Our office in Hedel currently has over 65 employees. In short, a vibrant organization with dedicated and creative employees.
What do you bring?
- You are a positive-minded person with a great willingness to learn. You love challenges and have an affinity for sustainability.
- HBO working and thinking level.
- Available for 24 to 38 hours per week.
- Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
- Accurate and result-oriented.
- Strong communication skills.
